Make a wish.
Quickly, make a wish before it’s all gone.
We miss our chances so many times because we hesitate. We hesitate for people and consequences out of fear or simply out of lack of motivation. These chances go away…completely out of reach forever. Take chances and embrace what the world has to offer.
Nothing like an antique shop to brighten your day. I just can’t get over how rusty, dusty, beat up pieces of junk can be so beautiful. I took so many pictures today, it was so hard to decide which to post. Everything is just so amazing! The textures, the colors… I wish manufacturers would make things this way again. I get seriously tired of all this new sleek stuff. Now, it’s neat too…but can you deny how awesome this random gate looks? I didn’t think so. Take some time to find pleasure in older things, you’ll find that they’re even more interesting than all of these new things.
Self confidence. That I have. It makes me sad when I see girls who destroy themselves for beauty. Everyone has something that makes them shine. Now, I’m not saying everyone is physically beautiful; I’m sure everyone’s tired of hearing that. But everyone has a special something that makes them noticeable. People tend to forget that, especially in our society, we focus so much on beauty and become so obsessive that we forget about what’s behind the pretty face. Next time you look in the mirror look at you talent…not that awful pimple. Now then, don’t you feel confident? When instead of obsessing about something that you can’t ever change effectively, you’re looking at something that you adore.
Little known fact: I LOVE reading. Now, I’m definitely not one of those people who reads in public; I think that’s extremely rude. Nevertheless, reading is one of my most favorite activities. I love how lost I can get into a book. I get to become someone different than me or be the best friend of someone different me, whichever way the book is written, I think it’s beautiful. Just like theater, you transform yourself and you’re transported to a different place with different people, problems, joys, and ideas. There’s nothing like a well written book. One that will make you forget where you are when you read it and feel like you’re walking right beside the writer or character as they take you through the story. I appreciate a lot of small things, this simple joy that comes from books is one of my favorite.
First off, I vow to never post such a lame picture ever again. I was just having trouble executing my ideas today and my initial idea didn’t work out; hopefully it will tomorrow.
Tomorrow is the first day of the second semester of school. So there’s my bag and my shoes, all ready to go. Backpack cleaned out, shoes shined (what a lie), ready to start learning again-or rather to start sitting starry-eyed in class thinking about boys, plays, homework, and that text I just got but can’t answer. Whatever happens, I have goals for this school year and I hope that I can reach them. I hope to make more time for friends and spend less time stressing about school and the theater…I doubt that will happen but, eh, it helps to have goals I guess.
Again, I’m sorry this picture is so lame, but this was what was on my mind today; it worked for my mood: simplistic and predictable. Maybe my mind will be more exciting tomorrow…although, I like having simplistic days. This picture satisfied me and I hope it satisfies you. If it doesn’t…well, check back tomorrow; I promise it will be more exciting.
Well, I went on an adventure today…and forgot my camera. Way to go, emileaann. So instead, I posted a memory.
This is probably one of my favorite pictures. Ever. I love the texture in the wall paper…I don’t know I think it’s so beautiful. This is in the Page house near that one Exxon….yeah, of course you know what I’m talking about. I went here for a cast party last year and had so much fun taking pictures of all the old, beautiful things. Even though I really love technology, sometimes I get tired of the way it looks and miss things like this: intricate, beautiful pieces of art. I think it’s important to slow down and appreciate small things like this. That’s one of the things I’m going to try to do this year. (No, that is not a new year’s resolution)
“Musical compositions, it should be remembered, do not inhabit certain countries, certain museums, like paintings or statues. The Mozart Quintet is not shut up in Salzburg: I have it in my pocket.”
I didn’t do much today. I did watch trees burn though. I’ve always appreciated fire…it’s so beautiful, but it scares so many people. Strong and beautiful. Isn’t that what everyone wants to be?
Here’s the first of my 365 pictures. I’m going to post one every day this year that supposedly has something to do with my day.
Today, I went on an adventure with my brother and his girlfriend. We ended up on an old rail road track and decided to have a photo shoot. We froze our butts off and almost fell off of a bridge. But, I think it was worth it to start this year of pictures off with a nice shot.
